AROMATIC: Rice Bran oil has very little scent but like all cold pressed and untreated vegetable oils and nut oils, has a slight fatty note.
EXTRACTION METHOD: Cold Pressed
COLOUR: Light Orange
CONSISTENCY: Medium consistency
ABSORPTION: Absorbs into skin quickly without leaving sticky traces.
SHELF LIFE: Rice Bran oil is quick to go rancid; users can expect a shelf life of 3 Months to 6 months with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.
Rice Bran is becoming a very popular carrier oil. It is rich in vitamin E, is absorbed well by the skin, and is extremely gentle.
USES:
Rice Bran is very well suited for massage oils (alone or in a blend), as a moisturising oil in cosmetics, in baby products, and in aromatherapy.
